First Day of School
Today Tyler begins his journey of many years of education. I pray it will be a positive one for him. I can't believe that he is going to kindergarten today. You should see him. He has school labeled uniforms and everything. He seems very excited. I can't wait to hear all about it when he gets home today! Wow, I feel strangely envious! :)

Sending Tyler off to Kindergarten

Yesterday we took Tyler to his new school to meet his teacher, Ms. Navarro. He thought he was in kid heaven! I think all fear is gone, if there was any. He will start on Monday. The school is called Weatherbee Elementary. His teacher said that he will get a lot of homework, "A lot!" she repeated. What is up with Kindergarteners getting all the homework. Ryan got a lot of homework and it was too much and he ended up hating school because of it. Until first grade, he had a new teacher that gave less and that saved him. Well, I sincerely hope that she wasn't too serious about "a lot." I didn't have homework until 3rd grade, I think.
We just found out that this Weatherbee has recieved a failing grade for 6 years in a row, and because of that Tyler is qualified for free tutoring in reading in math. Wow! What a great way to start the year!

Welcome to Nancy's World
Hello friends and family. Thanks to my sister Shawnae, I have been introduced to this blog thing and thought it would be a good thing for me as well. Since I am so far away from everyone that I love this is a great way to keep you up to date.
I just came home from 2 months of inpatient treatment and one month in a sober living environment. I am doing well and attending meetings every day by choice.
If you didn't know, I went into treatment on my own because I was so sick and tired of my drug use and that's the first time I've done inpatient since 1998 which at that time I only did 28 days of treatment with no follow up treatment. I stayed clean for a year and a half after that.
It feels good to be home with Rick and Tyler. Hopefully if all goes well, Ryan will come home soon. I am working on that.
For those who would like to e-mail me my address is nlewis008@comcast.net. I hope to hear from you all and getting back in touch with all of you!
