Hello friends and family. Thanks to my sister Shawnae, I have been introduced to this blog thing and thought it would be a good thing for me as well. Since I am so far away from everyone that I love this is a great way to keep you up to date.
I just came home from 2 months of inpatient treatment and one month in a sober living environment. I am doing well and attending meetings every day by choice.
If you didn't know, I went into treatment on my own because I was so sick and tired of my drug use and that's the first time I've done inpatient since 1998 which at that time I only did 28 days of treatment with no follow up treatment. I stayed clean for a year and a half after that.
It feels good to be home with Rick and Tyler. Hopefully if all goes well, Ryan will come home soon. I am working on that.

Nancy, I'm so glad that Shawnae inspired you to start your own blog. I feel bad that I haven't stayed in touch with you, but intend to change that. You should be very proud of your sobriety, making your decision for inpatient treatment, and followup meetings. I've found that a life of sobriety (8 years now!) has been such an incredible blessing.
